Starting in the 1950’s, several Tibetans were brought to the U.S. and secretly trained by the CIA in Colorado. Today, many Tibetan refugees have decided to stay and have built a home in the Denver/Boulder area. It is estimated that there are more than 200 Tibetans living in the state of Colorado.
